I Wanna Buy You a Cadillac~

UO Bowie top cut to shreds, vintage belt, H&M pants, Topshop shews
Photo Boothin' with Sid, Mr. Rotten and The Cure.. and Bowie on my belly
Brand new cheap shoes in Topshop.. y'know, found on sale on those plastic shoe hangers instead of at the display
Also, another Topshop lipstick. This time much vampy-er and darker and called Depth

I ditched the middle parting for a side one again, but don't fret, it will return. I shanghaied my mum into buying this top for me this summer and then I cut off the sleeves probably down to around where my ribs end and right above my bra on the back. The front looks wonderfully and deceivingly whole. The pants are my old choir cigarettes from 10th grade, but man, are they huge around the waist. I force them up with this belt from my work place woooo cost me close to no money. Got new shoes from Topshop that are very Jeffrey Campbell rip-off-esque with the cutouts. However, while I dig a nice Coltrane boot as much as the next woman, me being cheap and poor (the best combination, in my opinion... except for being able to throw around money x being filthy rich) doesn't agree. So I got these instead, BUT THIS CHICK AT SCHOOL TOTALLY ASKED ME IF THEY WERE THE REAL DEAL AND I WAS LIKE "PHYEAH I WISH" and then I burst into tears because I am poor.

Have some Bolan.

New Order

 Chinese internet shirt, Topshop skirt

These pictures are additionally called me being fuckin' adorable. I've been rocking a middle parting for a couple of days because looking young just feels like more fun. I can't remember how much fun I had, since these pictures are from Monday, but y'know, I feel like I was having a blast. Yeah yeah I know, I'm at home on a Friday night posting pictures from a Monday morning BUT I have been ridiculously busy with school and trying to keep my head above tests and assignments and IB group 4 project, which was meaningless hell.

This will forever and always be my favourite New Order song. I don't care what anyone says, it's timeless and beautiful and everything just ngh

Arrrrh yeah my uncle came from da 'Jing with my shirts and polaroid film (which I thought too insignificant-looking to photograph)! The BTTF one did sadly not arrive before he left China, but maybe next time. BUT I got all of these lovelies and I am ecstatic to have fresh band tee meat in my wardrobe. I will probably end up cutting all of them into crop tops next summer, but I'll keep a few of them intact. Gotta think of the winter. I think all of these cost me around 300 DKK (for 5 stellar shirts, well done, true bargain)
The shirts also came with a giant amount of other crap which I have illustrated in the second picture. I got a tiny notebook with a camera on it, a card with a drunk, purple horse-like thing, a tiny New Order bag, a yellow bracelet that is also a pen (the little metal-y bit opens and the bracelet now a pen... I know, god bless China) and a New Order tag. ALL FOR FREE I am elated.

Look How Much Denim I Can Wear

 Vintage Levi's and shirt

Well, it didn't take long for me to ditch the awful quality. I actually thought I'd lost this Lumix camera a year ago when I moved back to Copenhagen, but it does prevail. Probably a good thing, as the other pictures are really awful... I'll still rape my Photo Booth though, fear not. If you're lucky, I may get more advanced AND DO THE TIMER! But that would take away even more of the "I'm running a blog from my shitty room" vibe and I feel like the new amount of pixels have done enough damage for now.
Denim on denim can totally work, guys. People who are all "call the fashion police oh my god did she tie that denim shirt into a knot at the front i may die" can look away.

Can We Talk About This?: Courtney Love for Versace

I have a total soft spot for Hole. Courtney not so much, but I like that she's pretty unapologetic about who she is. I just love these pictures from when she was the face of Versace. I think they display a very different fragile aspect of her and she looks really beautiful. The whole 90s just look so accepting of the whole kinderwhore Courtney aspect. The pictures are from 1997, a year before Hole's Celebrity Skin (the best album, amirite?? ugh I dunno, Live Through This was so good as well) came out. Good old Love is depicted as everything but crass and mouthy. She looks gorgeous and soft. I especially love the second picture. Not only do the clothes look super stellar, but Court looks like a deer in the face, her hair is perfect and her shoulders are literally like soft triangles. Well done, Versace.

Can't Live For Tomorrow

Vintage leather jacket, Urban Outfitters top, Topshop skirt
 Ready for schooooool
 DMs forever <3
Bowie, Ronson and sketchbook

Yeah, these are pictures from yesterday, which was a pretty swell day. I had two free blocks so I had loads of time in the morning. I had coffee and cigs with myself and made tea and brought it with me to school. Also cropped the top from UO (that I bought on sale a million years) 'cause I wasn't feeling the shape. I've been wearing that tiny choker chain thing nearly every day, I really dig it. Best 5 DKK buy ever. Wore my studded DMs again because I'm in total love with them, I think they sharpen things up. Am also seriously considering buying these vintage 70's style heeled boots that look totally killer, but I don't know if I'd really wear them. Also, I have so many pairs of black shoes. The last picture is my open Mick Rock book/mag/thing on one of my favourite pages. It's his picture of Bowie and Ronson both wearing totally magnificent jackets with giant lapels and then my sketchbook lying on top of it. They're on the window sill next to my bed because I like to look at stylish men after I sketch and before I sleep.

Sunday Details

Things I dig these days: Meat Is Murder record by The Smiths, Glam! An Eyewitness Account by Mick Rock, supermarket soap bubbles, Topshop Inihibition lipstick, vintage ring, Polaroid camera
 Vintage lighter
Earrings and neck wrinkles

It's a ridiculously gray and rainy Sunday today, but it's also really nice. I've spent the day drinking tea, eating home made pie and having Will & Grace marathons.
That Smiths record is a brilliant thing to listen to while leafing through Mick Rock's magazine/book type thing full of glossy pictures from the glam rock days. There are serious gems of Bowie, Tim Curry as Frank-N-Furter, Syd Barrett and loads of other dudes. I've also spent around 20 minutes sitting in my window sill and blowing cheap supermarket bubbles while playing Visiting Statue by Grimes on repeat very loud from my speakers... I feel like I am brightening people's day. Or maybe I'm being obnoxious as hell.
I am also super stoked because my uncle is coming to visit from Beijing in around a week and I've ordered sooo many stellar shirts from Chinese ebay/amazon ( I don't know if they're all in stock, but I'm hopefully getting one with Back To The Future, Iggy Pop, New Order, Joy Division, The Cure and The Smiths. AND finally new film for my Polaroid camera. I am way too cheap to buy it in Urban Outfitters... hence this blog.
Also, another lighter from my beloved second hand church shop that I paid 5 DKK for. It's a vintage Ronson and sadly does not work. I'd have to pay around 500 DKK to get it fixed and I'm just not up for that at the current junction of my career. Maybe some other time. But it's damn gorgeous.
